In 2012, we started to ask ourselves how we, as a business, could do more to remember the sacrifice that Jesus made on Good Friday, and, to examine ways in which our business activities could possibly fit in to the Church's practices on that very special day.
It had always been the case that Catholics With Attitude's operations were suspended on Good Friday, making it impossible for anyone to make a purchase from us on that day. However, we all felt that closing things down just simply wasn't enough. Good Friday 2012 saw us try something a little different, and, we asked all visitors to our online stores to donate the money they intended to spend (or could have spent) with us on Good Friday to worthwhile Catholic Charities, instead.
This simple idea proved to be hugely popular with our shoppers - so much so that we received loads of messages commending us for our decision, and, we even got some press interest, too!
We repeated the activity in 2013 and on the back of even more positive feedback, we took the decision to make this a permanent feature.
So, it's over to you guys, now!
Have you got any suggestions which Catholic Charities people could donate to? Leave a comment in the box below and let every find out more about how they can help!
